Two police officers have suffered minor injuries after their car was rammed several times near Warrenpoint.

The Officers had been responding to reports of a camper van being stolen in the Dundalk area at around 4am when the incident happened.

Two men made off towards Dallan Road and Clonallan Road afterwards.

A car was later reported stolen in the Burren area and police think the incidents may be linked.

In a post online PSNI Newry & Mourne wrote: "Were you awake at around 4am in that area? Did you hear or see anything out of the ordinary? Please give us a call on 101 and quote ref 118 22/05/17 or tell us anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800555111."
