The former Linfield Manager watched as his side fell to a 6-0 defeat by defending champions Crusaders at the weekend.

Ballymena FC Boss David Jeffrey says it could take time to settle his squad for the new season.

His side opened their campaign with a heavy defeat- they lost 6-0 away to champions Crusaders.

Speaking to Q Radio Sport, he doesn't deny that off season changes may have been a factor in the defeat.

He's pledged to put things right moving forward.

The club last night released Michael Smith from his contract to re-join Larne FC.

Midfielder Mark Magennis has ended his contract with the Sky Blues.
