Stormont's Deputy First Minister says face masks and social distancing are here to stay while the country remains in a pandemic.
Michelle O'Neill was responding to a DUP MLA who asked here when ‘draconian’ laws used to enforce lockdown rules will be repealed.
Paul Givan also pressed the Deputy First Minister on when social distancing and mandatory wearing of face masks will be scrapped.
He says questioned why the legislation is still needed given only 0.025% of all patients in hospitals have Covid19 and 60% of the adult population here is now vaccinated.
Ms. O’Neill warned people are still dying and said no one can close their eyes to the fact we are still in a pandemic.
