Police are investigating a report of shots fired in Coleraine in the early hours of Sunday.
Damage was discovered to two windows of a property in the Willow Drive area following the incident at around 2.10am.
Police described it as a "reckless attack".
"An investigation is under way and we are working to establish a motive for this reckless attack. It is fortunate that no one was injured," the PSNI said.
"I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, or who has any information which could assist our investigation to call detectives in Coleraine on 101, and quote reference number 437 of 12/07/20."
Meanwhile shots were also fired in a similar incident in Dunmurry.
It happened in the Pembroke Manor area at around 7pm last night.
No one was inside the property at the time.
Detective Sergeant O’Flaherty said: “We received the report of shots fired at the property just before 7pm.
“Officers attended to find a bullet hole in the front window of the house, and a bullet located within an interior wall. Several cartridge cases were also found on the footpath and road.
“It’s reported that two masked men, dressed in black, left the area on foot.
“This was a planned and ruthless attack. Thankfully no one was home at the time, as this could, of course, have resulted in injury or loss of life.
“It’s also shocking that such a reckless act took place at a time when people, possibly children, would have been out and about and possibly passing by.
“I am appealing to anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1731 of 11/07/20.”
